Hello my name is Kirsten and I have taught swimming lessons since 2006, and private lessons since 2008. I have worked at many municipalities over the years, as well as the YMCA. I am also certified to teach Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross as well as WSI. I am a clinician who trains fellow staff on the intricacies of higher level strokes as well as considerations for adult learners. I have always had a love of teaching as well as swimming. My goal is to see growth and enjoyment throughout the lessons I teach! I have worked with many who have overcome fear and discomfort, and I find real pleasure in creating a safe and patient learning environment. Over the years, I have taught not only Red Cross but other lesson programs as well. This has given me the opportunity to use drills and approaches not found in Red Cross. I will use all my resources to create a personalized experience that aligns with your personal goals! Look forward to working with you! *I strongly suggest that students bring a pair of goggles and, if you have long hair, a swim cap to keep your hair out of your face*

Outstanding instructor
Kirsten is an amazing instructor. She has been just wonderful with our two young kids. We were so impressed with her teaching style, friendly attitude, and cheerful personality. Caring calm Kirtsten
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I am so glad we booked our very first lesson with Kirsten, otherwise we may have never returned. Kirsten was able to create a positive and safe space for my daughters very first swim lesson in life. At nine years old, it is difficult to get her to do anything that she does not want to do, but Kirsten encouraged my daughter to venture outside of her comfort zone and get moving around in the water. Due to time conflicts and ever popular Kirsten's schedule filling up fast, we had to schedule with other instructors. However I would not hesitate to book a lesson with Kiersten in the future.

Great experience
I had the pleasure of being taught by Kristin as my swimming instructor, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Sunshine Hills Surrey Delta Pool

Located on the border between Surrey and Delta, this beautiful warm leisure pool features a shallow side with entry stairs – perfect for beginners, as well as a very deep section great for intermediate to advanced swimmers. Three huge skylights fill the pool with natural light which cascades across the west coast styled wooden roof and walls.
