My name is Chloe Miller and I have been teaching swimming lessons for three years now and one year here at Propel! I am passionate, enthusiastic and driven and I like to take those aspects of myself into the work I do in the water with my clients. I am a first-year nursing student at UBCO and have my first aid, LSI, NLS, and WSI certifications.
What sets me apart? I have been working in aquatics ever since I could and have taught many swimming lessons from parent and tots to upper-level Swim Kids. I am certified through Red Cross and am friendly and fun. But what really makes me different is that I am a part-time mermaid! I combine fitness, safety, and imagination together to create a truly unique experience!
So I have been working for the city of Toronto for about 3 year usually working in the spring and summer while attending school in the fall and winter. I love teaching children especially younger kids and getting them comfortable in the water. I love making the skill fun and exciting for kids so that they can develop a love for swimmer.
I am a very friendly and fun teacher, but I do like to push the swimmer in class so that they can reach new achievements in each class. I like to celebrate all achievements and promote a positive style of learning. I am patient, understanding and caring. Most importantly, I just care that the swimmer is has fun, feels comfortable in the water, and learns new things.
I liked that my instructor Rebecca explains the reason behind things, and that there’s a venue and schedule that’s convenient for me. I am determined to practice and improve. It was a great start; We exceeded my expectations of what I could learn in an hour :)— Claudine B.
