About Lucas R.
Hi! My name's Lucas. I was a lifeguard with the City of Surrey for over 5 years. During this time I taught many lessons to a wide range of clientel. I adapt my lessons to the age, but my general style follows something like "explain and demo -> student attempts skill -> correct as necessary", with fun time and challenges sprinkled throughout to encourage confidence in the water. I really enjoy watching students improve their skills. It's very satisfying to look back at where we started, and how far we made it.
