My kids are beginner and novice swimmers. Tim made a connection with both right away, and was able to quickly and accurately assess how to focus and structure the custom designed lessons for each. In just a few lessons, my beginner swimmer went from not knowing how to blow bubbles or float independently, to easily doing so, practicing front crawl with support and doing back stroke unsupported. My novice swimmer took significant strides in his bilateral breathing, endurance, kicking, and front and back crawl. I have been thoroughly impressed with Tim as a teacher. He easily connects with kids - even reluctant ones - and explains, demonstrates complex swimming skills simply and clearly, so that kids understand. Just listening to Tim teach the lessons, I've learned a lot about how to support my own kids as growing swimmers. I highly recommend Tim as your (or your kids') next swim instructor!!!

My kids have had a couple of lessons with Tim, and I’ve already seen more progress than YEARS of lessons in other programs. He is great with my 4 and 7 year old making the lessons challenging but fun and ensuring they feel safe. They love going. I highly recommend Tim.

Tim is very knowledgeable, he is very enthusiastic in teaching and carefully explains the importance of proper breathing or position of the head, or arms or shoulders. To a 61 year woman like me, with zero swimming experience, those information are valuable in making sure I start with good habits while conquering my fear of the water. I fell off a boat in a lake when I was a teenager and had four guys rescue me from drowning. This gave me phobia in any body of water. With Tim explaining and demonstrating the steps to swim, I feel safe and confident that I will eventually be able to enjoy the water while also exercising my aching joints. He is gentle and patient. I am glad I booked lessons with Tim and I highly recommend him to those who are once young and to young ones as well. I also like this Propel location in Richmond because it is very private-it is just me and my instructor in the pool. I look forward to my lessons with Tim. He gives me the impression that it is never too late to learn how to swim.
