I am amazed how Sebastian teaches my 7-year-old. My son is very shy but Sebastian knows how to make him comfortable. We will keep taking lessons with Sebastian as schedule allows as it is very worth it!

I haven't been a very strong swimmer and with an upcoming swim test coming up for Firefighting I had an hour with Sebastian today and it went great. I didn't know all these minor things I was doing wrong and he had helped me tweak up my mechanics and become a much better swimmer.

About Sebastián D.

Hi, my name is Sebastian! I am excited and ready to teach all sorts of new swimmers, from all age ranges, backgrounds and skill levels! My certifications include Standard First Aid and CPR/AED level C (Issued by the Red Cross), Bronze Cross/Medallion and CPR -A (Issued by the Lifesaving Society), Water Safety Instructor (Issued by the Red Cross) and National Lifeguard - Pool (Issued by the Lifesaving Society)! I have been swimming independently for almost my entire life and currently have 6 months of experience teaching multiple private lessons for up to 3 people and group lessons for up to 8-7 at West Coast Swim School and Harris Road Outdoor Pool. I have collectively instructed people of ages ranging from toddlers to young adults. I motivate swimmers with fun games, encouragement and enthusiasm to become better swimmers in the water! I love spending time making people better swimmers and making the most out of our lessons! I aim for maximum improvement! I use progressions which I have learned through the Red Cross Swim Kids Program and the more advanced Swim for Life program by the Lifesaving Society to make swimming easier to learn, more structured and fun. I develop lesson plans and track progress as we go through our lessons together to maximize time and progress achieved, whilst still making swimming fun! I love giving parents and swimmers positive and constructive feedback on how swimmers can improve and work on their skills on their own time. I identify strengths and weaknesses, build on them and help my clients progress at a fast rate, providing them with all the resources they need! In addition to this, I am fluent in Spanish and English and have a basic understanding of the French language. I also love being active and participating in activities such as volleyball, basketball, tennis, football, running, cycling, and swimming as I am also a lifeguard. This is a super fun activity for me and I desire for the positivity to radiate onto my clients! I am 100 PERCENT FULLY VACCINATED with PHIZER so there will be no Covid issues at the pool and chlorinated water is already a powerful barrier against virus transmission. I am prepared and ready to teach and would love to meet new people who are ready to learn and grow! See you when you book me! AN AMAZING TESTIMONIAL IS ALWAYS APPRECIATED!
