About Emma V.

My long past of experience engaging with small children greatly enhances my teaching and communication ability. I am the oldest of 5 children, I volunteered as a TA at ACS Elementary School, taught violin lessons for 4 years, I currently teach Sunday School for Kindergarteners, and am a current lifeguard and swimming instructor through the city of Abbotsford. I am familiar with teaching children of all age groups, including babies from my Parent and Tot classes I teach. What makes me a great instructor is the way I use engaging analogies to keep swimming fun and maintain focus, and use fun activities to teach fundamental skills and make learning easier and more enjoyable. My teaching style incorporates activities and analogies to build a greater understanding of a skill and a quicker, more enjoyable way of learning it. I also use progressions to build up to a difficult skill requirement, and more effectively prevent bad habits from forming.
