Swim lessons with Amy P.

Welcome to Pohlar Bear Swim Co., My name is Amy and I have been teaching swimming lessons since 2012 in a variety of capacities and for a variety of programs. I have taught Red Cross and Lifesaving Society programs, as well as National Lifeguard, and First Aid. I hold a BSc in Kinesiology with an NCCP certification in the FUN-damentals of Movement; while at school my focus was on aquatic skills. After being a Lifeguard and Aquatics Manager at various pools around Southern Alberta, life took me in a new direction. That new place is here, Pohlar Bear Swim Co. I have combined all my years of experience and styles to create a program that teaches the foundations of stroke proficiency, as well as water safety. I am certified as a Lifesaving Society Swim instructor and am able to tailor lessons to your needs as a student. My favorite students, are those that are willing to learn. I enjoy teaching through song and games for preschoolers, and discussing shape and form for those that are older, or wanting to work on specific skills.
