After not swimming in any deep water since my teens, I wanted to regain my confidence in the water and relearn a few basic swimming strokes. Alyssa was very patient, and helpful in this regard.

My child, who is under 3 years old, had his very first swim lesson with Alyssa today, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. He had no previous swim experience and had hardly spent any time in the water before, so I was understandably nervous about how he would adjust. Alyssa was incredibly kind, patient, and supportive throughout the lesson. She took the time to understand my child's needs and comfort level, creating a positive and encouraging environment from the moment we arrived. Her gentle approach helped him feel safe and comfortable in the water much sooner than I expected. It was clear that Alyssa genuinely cares about the children she teaches and knows how to build trust and confidence at their own pace. Seeing my child smiling and engaged during his very first lesson was wonderful. I am so grateful for Alyssa's professionalism, patience, and warmth, and I look forward to continuing lessons with her. I would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a caring and skilled swim instructor.

About Alyssa Y.

Hi my name is Alyssa Young, I have a passion for swimming and a love for the water! I am a certified lifeguard and swim instructor also certified in intermediate first aid and CPR level C. I am currently a student working towards a diplomacy in Justice. I have been teaching private swim lessons for companies for two years, doing private 1 on 1 lessons along with group lessons. During this time I successfully developed a relationship with each student and was able to teach them to their level of ability and base lessons off of where the student was learning. I successfully encouraged students and allowed them to gain skills that challenged them and build their confidence in the water. I worked with children as young as six months and onward. Also teaching adult lessons and teaching individuals with disabilities. I have worked in environments with children such as babysitting and peer mentoring with children a variety of ages and gained experience in planning and organizing activities. Making swim lessons enjoyable and committed to helping each swimmer reach their full potential in the water is my ultimate goal. Every great swimmer starts with one brave jump!
