Val was stellar. She had all kinds of great ways to move a toddler along the path towards swimming on her own, with all kinds of energy to put them in play. I was impressed by her combo of take-charge attitude and infectious enthusiasm. Five stars!

Valentia is a great instructor, she took her time to get to know what I was good at and what I was struggling at. Then she helped me work and improve on the things I was struggling at tremendously. She pushed me just hard enough where I was making a lot of progress but not overdoing it, she also found a way to make it really fun. She was on time and worked with me for the entire hour. She was also really polite and easy to talk to. I was a little bit scared at first that I wasn't going to be able to get better, but the amount of improvement I noticed after just one lesson is awesome. I can't wait for our next lesson.

Val was amazing with my daughters. She kept them engaged, explained the skills clearly and my kids had a lot of fun! They want to see Val again next week!

About Valentia G.

Hello! My name is Valentia but you can call me Val! I have taught with Propel for several years, with a total of nine years teaching experience having worked with over 100 families on their swimming journeys! I am a passionate instructor and lifeguard with exceptional experience teaching; beginner tots, swimmers with developmental disabilities thru to adult beginners, advanced stroke revision as well as parent and tot settings. During our first lesson together we will assess your skill set and develop a plan to meet your swimming goals! Your personal plan will help to track and motivate each swimmer to help build a fun and inspiring experience that fosters love for the water and personal success! A bit about me! I developed a love for the water through encouraging instructors and coaches that have supported me in swimming recreationally and competitively for over 13 years. I am a paramedic with several current certifications; national lifeguard, swim instructor, lifesaving instructor, water safety instructor, airway management, emergency first aid instructor, CPR-C with AED, standard first aid with CPR-C and HCP. I have previously worked for Aquatic AI Vaughan recreation, Skyline Resorts, Canada’s Wonderland, Splashville + more and have taught private as well as group lessons for students with developmental disabilities, students 0-65+ years including beginners to advanced swimmers. As well as parent and tots; introducing the love of the water to curious infants. Let’s jump in and make some big splashes together!
