My 6 year experience teaching lessons expands across all ages, abilities and learning styles with my 2 year anniversary of teaching with Propel in March 2025! I enjoy teaching lessons both indoors and outdoors with different companies and municipalities. I am employed as a lifeguard within the city in addition to teaching privately with Propel. Across all opportunities, I have found that many swimmers see more swift improvement during these private sessions as opposed to group lessons since there is more one-on-one time spent learning and practicing these skills. As an instructor, I like to build self-confidence in the participant's personal swimming abilities before letting go and encouraging improvement. I believe that promoting water safety and comfort helps to improve swimming abilities alongside lifelong safety and confidence. In my lessons, I tend to spend some class time encouraging participants to think about how swimming works mechanically and how to utilize one's natural ability to float and swim.
A serene indoor pool in Aldergrove, set beneath a vaulted cedar ceiling with skylights for a calm, welcoming atmosphere. A wide stairway entry makes it easy for small children to ease in, while the 6-foot depth gives intermediate swimmers room to work on submersion and deeper-water progressions. Single-capacity bookings mean you'll have the entire pool to yourself for the full lesson.
Pool access details are provided after you book.
