WSI and NLS-certified UBC student with 3+ years experience — beginners through lifeguard prep, Swim for Life standards, stroke refinement
I'm Julia, a UBC student with over three years of experience as a swim instructor. Swimming has always been a passion of mine. I work with swimmers from beginners just getting comfortable in the water to those preparing for lifeguarding. I hold Water Safety Instructor, National Lifeguard, and Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certifications.
My teaching style is patient and supportive, with a strong emphasis on safety. I specialize in refining strokes according to Swim for Life standards while helping students build endurance and confidence. I believe swimming and water safety are essential life skills that people of all ages can learn and enjoy.
A serene indoor pool in Aldergrove, set beneath a vaulted cedar ceiling with skylights for a calm, welcoming atmosphere. A wide stairway entry makes it easy for small children to ease in, while the 6-foot depth gives intermediate swimmers room to work on submersion and deeper-water progressions. Single-capacity bookings mean you'll have the entire pool to yourself for the full lesson.
