Hello! My name is Olesya and I am so excited to be back in Vancouver and working for Propel. I am a swim teacher with more than 6 years of experience, but I have been involved in aquatics my whole life. From synchronized and competitive swimming, to watersports like surfing, scuba and underwater hockey, to lifeguarding and coaching -- you name it! I have a passion for the water and love sharing that with others. Everyone can become a skilled and confident swimmer, regardless of their age and starting point. I have lots of experience teaching the Red Cross / Swim for Life curriculum used in most city pools. With city waitlists being long and private lessons mostly unavailable, Propel lessons are a great way to focus on each swimmer's personal needs and see results. My experience as a private lesson and Special Olympics coach allows me to create individualized drills and programs for your specific goals. I have taught students with varying physical abilities and neurodiversity, with parents/caregivers both in and out of the water. Whether you're looking to pass a swimming level or invest in life-preserving skills, we can create a plan for you. Most importantly, enjoyable swimming lessons keep students practicing. I focus on learning through games, challenges, and easy-to-understand instructions. Getting in the water may take a lot of courage but it can also be very fun! If you have any questions, please let me know in the notes when you book or message me. Thanks for visiting my page and I can't wait to meet you!
