Hello! My name is Matthew Terrazzano and I have 2 years of teaching experience and half a year of deck supervisor experience. This experience comes from working at the City of Vaughan, so I am emersed with teaching a diverse range of people. I have taught toddlers, children, teenagers, adults, and those with a special need or disability. My swim instructing style is characterized by a personalized, adaptive approach that prioritizes building confidence and comfort in the water for swimmers of all ages and abilities. I integrate innovative, fun, and engaging teaching methods that not only enhance learning outcomes but also foster a love for swimming. Emphasizing safety, technique, and individual progress, I use a mix of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic cues to cater to diverse learning styles. What makes me a great instructor is my commitment to continuous feedback and encouragement, which helps swimmers overcome fears, achieve their personal goals, and develop lifelong swimming skills. Also, my experience as a deck supervisor means I have assisted countless instructors conduct the evaluations of their students. This has given me an expert level eye in seeing what a student is doing incorrectly, and thinking of an action plan in order to help them improve.
