One of the greatest gifts I believe in the world is knowledge. And I shall be one that delivers that passion for new generations to come. From the mere age of four, I failed Starfish several times and felt like giving up. I understand how frightening it can be for new swimmers to enter new waters. However, I have learned over the course of many years from both a student and teacher perspective how to foster and maintain a safe, and welcoming environment. As a swimming instructor, I utilize my interpersonal skills to evaluate each student's strengths and weakness, and adapt to their personality. Through this assessment I engineer each and every class to suit the needs of each learner, at a comfortable but encouraging pace. Whether it is learning butterfly, or front floats I have a stage by stage process laid out for the student to develop the strength of each stroke. I emphasize on the importance of technique over speed, and endurance as those come secondary to your child's learning. Nonetheless, throughout the entire process I believe in the vitalization of a "team effort" including you, your child, and myself. Afterall, communication is key. If you want your child to enjoy your lessons and learn at the same time, let's be a team!
