About Larissa P.

Hey my name is Larissa. I'm 21, and the water has always been my 2nd home! I grew up competitive swimming and competing at the provincial level all year round for 6 years. 3 years of which I was a Junior coach for kids of all ages and abilities. I am also NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) certified (Level 1). I've been a Head Lifeguard/Instructor (Aquatic Leader/Supervisor) for Abbotsford and Pitt Meadows Outdoor Pool for 3 years, through Recreation Excellence. I have 6 years experience coaching special needs athletes of all ages at the Provincial and National level with Special Olympics BC, (Mission). I am LSI certified (Lifesaving Instructor), to teach Bronze Cross/Medallion courses for youth in a leadership position. I currently work with Canucks Autism Network and have for the last 3 years swim coaching kids on the Autism Spectrum. I am also a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor for the city of Mission and have been for the last year. I also attend Douglas College taking there Child and Youth care course to be a Mental Health Worker. I couldn't imagine my life without being by water.

Located in downtown Mission just off Lougheed Highway, this hidden oasis is an amazing pool for beginner and intermediate swimmers to learn in. Swimmers can warm up at the end of their lesson in our onsite hot tub and sauna. Observing parents will enjoy lounge chair seating, free towel service, wifi, and a Starbucks located just around the corner.
