SwimSwim lessons with Amin N.

I didn't know how to swim at all, but over a period of a few months Amin has taken me from zero to being able to swim front crawl for 20 minutes non-stop. I never really liked water, and learning to swim as an adult isn't easy, but Amin's kind but firm instruction has finally helped me learn to swim! Now continuing with learning breast stroke with him as well.

Amin taught my 2 children to become confident swimmers in a year, my daughter couldn't float at all and both kids learned how to swim the front crawl, tread water, and be comfortable in the deep end. Totally worth the investment and saves a lot of time compared to community center group lessons. Amin is a friendly but firm and has clear explanations and works well with kids. Highly recommend him!

My child learned more in one hour with Amin than he has in a whole year of community centre swim classes. Amin was patient, professional, attentive, and able to redirect anxiety in the water very quickly with practical guidance that calmed my child and gave him confidence to try again right away. My child was literally doing things like putting his face in the water within minutes of the lesson--something he has been scared to do for almost two years now. So grateful for the lesson!

I wasn't sure how the lesson will go as I was never very successful getting him to listen to my explanation. I had him in group lessons since he was 4, and the teachers would ask me to get into the pool so he would participate. Discouraged, I took on the challenge myself to get him comfortable in water. While I succeeded in getting him to love swimming and swim a bit in the deep end, I cannot teach him the real techniques. Amin was great at explaining the drills and challenging my son. If I did a recording of his swimming before and after one hour with Amin, there's already obvious improvement. His breath work is better, he is gliding a bit further and the rhythm is better.

Amin was very patient with our 6 year olds and they learned a lot over a few lessons. He taught them how to be very comfy in the water. We would go back to Amin!

Amin was great taking our little swimmers under his wing, adjusting the lessons to their different comfort and skill level, all the while making sure they were having fun and feeling supported. For my little guy, his swimming has only improved immensely, and he is always so excited for his next lesson. For myself, I feel comforted knowing he has some very practical techniques under his belt. We will definitely be booking lessons with him again. Thanks Amin!
