UofT Masters and Triathlon Club Coaching and Red Cross/Swim for Life Swim Instructor with 7+ years of proven experience.
I've taught swimming since 2019, currently instructing and lifeguarding at UofT and coaching its Masters and Tri Club. As a former competitive swimmer (since 2011) and water polo player, I love helping people of all ages build skill and confidence in the water, from first-time beginners to athletes preparing to compete.
Every lesson starts by getting clear on your goals. I pinpoint the root cause of what's holding you back, then build from a solid base through steady progressions grounded in proven curriculum and science. I'm direct with feedback but always encouraging, making sure you're aware of your own progress.
The first lesson is mostly about getting to know you. We'll talk through your goals, then I'll watch you swim to spot the root cause of what to work on. From there we set a comfortable baseline and start building with small progressions. Expect direct, encouraging feedback, and expect to have fun while we're at it!
Swim above it all in this sunlit, warm pool just steps from King & Blue Jays Way. With gentle stairway entry for beginners and spacious lounge seating for observing parents, Sutton Place is ideal for anyone who prefers a bright, modern space for their swim lessons. Naturally, private changing rooms and showers are available after your lesson.
