About Nicky M.

Hi, I’m Nicky an experienced aquatics professional with the City of Toronto, where I work as a Pool In-Charge, Lifeguard, and Swim Instructor. I’m also the proud owner of Swim With Nicky, offering personalized, high-quality swim instruction for children, adults, and adaptive swimmers. Swimming has been part of my life since I was four years old. With a background in competitive swimming, I developed not only strong technical skills but also discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for water safety. Today, I bring that same passion and dedication into every lesson I teach. Certified. Experienced. Trusted. All certifications are current (2026) through the Lifesaving Society and include Standard First Aid with CPR-C & AED, Emergency First Aid Instructor, National Lifeguard, Lifesaving Instructor, and Swim Instructor. With years of hands-on experience, I work with beginners building water confidence, swimmers refining stroke technique, children preparing for advanced levels, adults learning to swim for the first time, and adaptive children who benefit from individualized, patient, and supportive instruction. I am passionate about creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where every swimmer regardless of age, ability, or experience feels supported, respected, and empowered. For adaptive swimmers, I focus on meeting each child exactly where they are. Lessons are tailored to their unique strengths, comfort levels, and learning styles. My goal is always to build trust first because confidence in the water starts with feeling safe. The Swim With Nicky Difference: Learning to swim is an essential life skill and it should be accessible to everyone. My approach combines structure, positivity, and encouragement while prioritizing safety at every stage. Whether your child needs extra patience, specialized support, or simply a confidence boost, I provide professional instruction with a personal touch. When I’m not on deck, you’ll find me adventuring outdoors with my dog, spending time with my siblings, or exploring new places and I bring that same positive energy into every lesson.
