About Colin J.

Hello, My name is Colin (Coco), and I am a proficient and enthusiastic swim instructor. I have taught swimming lessons since 2013. During my years of experience, I have developed a teaching approach that can adapt to different styles of learning. Due to my experience, I can modify my lessons to swimmers of any age, from preschool to competitive adults. I am the type of instructor who brings safety and enjoyment to my lessons. I work with the strengths of my students and offer guidance to enhance their skills. I have a background in competitive swimming at a national level, thus I am able to provide a high level of instruction. I look to strengthen my students’ swimming skills and ensure they are having a positive experience. I have a passion for teaching and establishing a rapport with my students that is built on trust and understanding. Currently, I am pursuing my Teaching Certificate to become an Elementary school teacher. In my downtime, I enjoy hiking BC’s beautiful landscape, swimming, biking, and running. Presently, I am training for the 70.3 Ironman in Victoria. I look forward to enhancing your strength and efficiency as a swimmer!
