Hi there! My name is Randy, and I have been swimming for more than half of my life! Starting at the age of 7, I swam competitively with the Burnaby Barracudas for 10 years. Afterwards, I obtained my certifications and became a lifeguard with the City of Burnaby. Over the past 8 years as a lifeguard, I have discovered my passion for teaching people of all ages how to swim. I specialize in working with adults who are looking to become more comfortable in the water or who are learning how to swim for the first time. Additionally, I have expertise in stroke technique and teaching various swimming strokes such as front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, diving, and treading water. Certified in WSI, CPR C/AED, I am able to effectively apply my knowledge from competitive swimming to each lesson I teach. I have experience teaching swimming lessons to people of all learning abilities and ages, ranging from parent and tot classes to adult swim lessons. Furthermore, I have worked with children with developmental disabilities. My students have often described me as friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I hope to have the opportunity to continue sharing my passion for swimming and teaching others! If you don't see a time that works for you in my calendar, please feel free to email me at randyho.com@hotmail.com and I can try to make alternative arrangements with you. I must admit that my teaching skills surpass my writing skills, but I am eager and excited to teach you!
