We had a great experience with Earl! He is incredibly experienced, patient, and engaging. Both of my boys absolutely love taking lessons with him and have become much more confident in the water. We are very grateful to have found such a fantastic instructor!

I highly recommend Earl if you’re looking for a great swim instructor! He’s patient, friendly, and really knows what he’s doing. One thing I really appreciated is that he never forces you into the deep end until you’re comfortable and ready. He lets you learn at your own pace, which helped me build my confidence in the water. He explains everything clearly, makes every lesson enjoyable, and creates a relaxed, supportive environment. If you’re thinking about taking swimming lessons, Earl is definitely the person to go to!

About Earl T.

I began my aquatics career in June of 2013 as a lifeguard/Swim Instructor at the North Surrey Recreation Centre and went on to build close connections with families as their children's primary instructor. I swam competitively in the USA from grade 6 to grade 8, and I hold a black belt in Taekwondo, having coached it from grade 8 to grade 12.

Teaching philosophy

My lessons are active, fun, and tailored to each student's needs, promoting confidence and skill development. My background in competitive swimming, martial arts coaching, and supervisory roles gives me a well-rounded approach emphasizing discipline, focus, and personalized instruction.
