SwimSwim lessons with Jewel F.

Hello! I am very passionate about teaching swimming lessons and water safety. I have been a swim instructor for 8 years. I have taught thousands of lessons across all ages and abilities. I am also a Senior lifeguard and lesson support for the City of Coquitlam, and the Head Guard for the summer operations at Buntzen Lake in Anmore. Prior to lifeguarding and teaching lessons, I was a synchronized swimmer and speed swimmer. Aquatics have always been an integral part of my life, and I am glad that I get to pass on my skills to others so that they can get the same enjoyment from swimming that I’ve always had. My expertise ranges from building confidence for complete beginners, to stroke corrections for those who are looking to optimize their workouts, and everything in between. Every swimmer is unique in their abilities, body composition, comfort levels and learning styles, which is why I provide tailored classes designed around the specific needs of each person. I use a variety of techniques such as physical manipulation and shaping, as well as a variety of visual aids, equipment, and games with aims, to provide a fun and engaging lesson.
