Hi! I'm Earl, a dedicated swimming instructor with a diverse background in aquatics and coaching. My mission is to help swimmers of all ages and skill levels achieve their goals and enjoy their time in the water. For more details, please read my background. My Background: Lifeguard Experience: I began my aquatics career in 2013 as a lifeguard at the North Surrey Recreation Centre before it closed. During my time as a full-time instructor, I had the joy of building close connections with the parents and had the privilege of being trusted as the main teacher for their children. Although the North Surrey Recreation Centre is now permanently closed, I continue to work with the City of Surrey as a Supervisor. Competitive Swimming: From grade 6 to grade 8, I swam competitively in the USA. This experience laid the groundwork for my deep understanding of swimming techniques and competitive spirit. Taekwondo Coaching: I hold a black belt in Taekwondo and volunteered as a coach from grade 8 to grade 12. This experience enriched my coaching skills, emphasizing discipline, focus, and personalized instruction. Current Roles: On weekends, I serve as an Aquatics Supervisor for the City of Surrey, where I oversee lifeguards and swimming instructors, ensuring high standards of safety and teaching. During the weekdays, I work as an Engineering Consultant, bringing analytical and problem-solving skills to my aquatics expertise. Why Choose Me? With a background in competitive swimming, martial arts, and professional supervisory roles, I offer a well-rounded approach to swimming instruction. My lessons are active, fun, and tailored to each student's needs, promoting confidence and skill development. Former Colleagues & Friends: -Alex Huynh -Cadey Bell
